Newborns to Preschoolers come to learn about God’s love in a caring, fun, age-appropriate, and secure atmosphere while their parents attend or serve during worship services.

We wholeheartedly THINK ORANGE!
The concepts and principles that guide the “Think Orange” philosophy are best described as the color orange. Orange represents the idea that two forces working together will have exponentially more influence than either entity alone. Orange is what red and yellow can do when they combine efforts. The church (yellow) has the impact of illuminating God’s glory – showing the world who Jesus is. The family (red) has the impact of demonstrating God’s character through unconditional relationships. When the two influences combine (orange), they will make a greater impact on the next generation. For us, that means parents and church leaders working together to make a difference in the lives of children knowing we can do more together than we do alone.
Children meet during both gatherings at Grace Point Church: 9:10 and 10:45 every Sunday morning.
NURSERY CLASSROOMS function best with a dynamic age range because not all children develop at the same rate. We have classrooms for:
•Our youngest blessings – from the time they are born, babies are welcomed into Wee World where they are loved on by an amazing group of volunteers.
•Our crawlers and early toddlers hear God’s Word and discover the most basic of God’s love through simple games and music.
•More advanced toddlers will learn more about God’s truths through tactile activities such as making stars with their “jazz hands” or discovering His creation by dipping their hands in water.
Preschool Classrooms are based on the Bentonville Public School District’s Traditional Calendar.
Each week’s teaching plan starts with an opening activity to introduce the Bible lesson for that day followed by a trip to StoryRoom for their corporate worship time and Bible Story video. Afterwards, they’ll be back in their classrooms for activities, games and crafts related to the story. KidMin Leaders guide children to connect each weekly story to the broader story line of the Bible. We’ll also have a prayer time, snacks, and WiggleLand time to shake out all our extra energy!
At Grace Point Church, we use the Gospel Project for Kids – a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more. Jesus is woven into scripture from the very beginning, so our kids hear about Him every week. As they hear the entire metanarrative, the Holy Spirit starts to reveal truth to their hearts – it’s not about us teaching them to act like good Christians, it’s about a heart transformation.
Throughout the curriculum, parents will receive guides to help seal in God’s truths that their children have been learning about on Sunday morning. Each week, children bring home a “Big Picture Card” with the story picture, some questions to explore at home, and some main points to reiterate throughout the week. We also post quick tips on our gpKids Facebook page. We strive to make it as easy as possible for parents to review the lesson and continue the conversation at home during the week.
AND.. if you haven’t heard, There’s an App for That! Yes, there is an app for your iPhone or iPad that goes along with our curriculum. You’ll have access to all the stories and videos so even if you miss a week, your kids can still hear the story! Search for The Gospel Project for Kids. The download is free, but you’ll need to update it quarterly to have all the access.
We strive to maintain a secure environment for our children. When you arrive at our ministry campus, you will be asked to register your child (ages birth to 5th grade) and any information you want us to know about allergies, potty-training, bottles, and more.
Our trained personnel will check your child in through our electronic security program. Each child will receive a tag to stick on their back that has a unique security code on it, their name, their classroom, and any of the information about your child you wished to disclose such as allergies, medical alerts, potty training, etc.
You will receive a receipt that only has the unique security code of the child and the date of the event. In the case you are checking in more than one child, a single security code is used for all children so you do not have to juggle multiple receipts.
Should a parent be needed during the Worship Service, their number will appear on a screen in the auditorium. When picking up your child from the classroom, you will be
asked to show the corresponding receipt to child’s teacher. We ask parents to keep their tag so they will have it for other children.
At Grace Point Church, we encourage each of our members to worship in one gathering and to serve during another. If you are interested in being a part of the excitement of Wee World, click the link below to fill out our application form. We always welcome new leaders and substitutes!
