Grace Point Church has been involved in mission projects in Zambia
longer than any other country. With Lead Pastor Mike McDaniel and his
family having lived in Zambia, and their commitment to global missions, it was a natural fit for Grace Point to start its international
missions work among the over one million Tonga people living in the Zambezi
Valley and on the plateau.
Church development and human needs projects have been the primary focus of
their work. The latest project in Zambia is with a newly established
orphanage in Mapaza, Zambia. New Day Orphanage has begun construction on forty acres of land. They are
beginning work on the first workers' house, to be followed by a second
workers' house, a home for the Tidwells, two orphanage homes, a
kitchen/dining/laundry/classroom multipurpose center, and a four-room
guesthouse.
A SECOND TEAM WILL GO TO ZAMBIA in late November to continue this work. Contact Rob Whorton if interested.
