West Point World Changers Training (date to be announced)
It is a safe assumption that everyone wants to make a difference in this world, but have you ever considered yourself a World Changer? Do you feel equipped to be a World Changer?
West Point: World Changers is another stop on the GPC compass to being a fully rounded follower of Christ. The Grace Point family of faith has sent hundreds of it’s members around the world to show the love of Christ in remote places where people hearts are far from God. World Changers help close the gap between God and man. We have been given the role, job, or ministry of reconciliation to the world (2 Cor 5:17-20). Becoming equipped world changers allows us to live out this calling.
Spend a Friday evening and Saturday morning learning the fundamentals of cross-cultural mission engagement. We’ll eat like the nationals, we’ll hear from the missionaries your offerings help to support, you will learn how to help people without hurting them, and you will learn how to adjust to the culture shock that grips us all as we travel. The majority of the training materials were prepared by the International Mission Board and are taught by our Pastor Mike and his wife, Lori, former missionaries to Southern Africa.
All those who plan on participating in a GPC-sponsored Mission Adventure Trip are required to attend; all other members and attenders of GPC are strongly encouraged to Childcare for birth through age 12 is provided for those who pre-register. participate.
