The Executive Pastor role exists in order to assist executing and implementing the vision of the Lead Pastor with the Pastoral and Support teams. The EP will, directly and through others, develop, initiate, coordinate and manage the strategic plans and systems necessary to implement the mission of GPC and lead to excellence all of the ministerial team and church leaders, achieving the church’s mission. Aspects include: ministry evaluation, goal setting, strategy, development, mentoring and the five tasks of the church (Transformation, Outreach, Ministry, Community and Worship).
Internship dates are June 1 – August 6, 2020. Applications will be accepted until March 25, 2020
This program is designed to give college students a first-hand look inside vocational ministry. Interns will be spending around 30 hours Sunday-Thursday on the GPC campus or connected with GPC pastors. They will have daily class/devotion times, weekly responsibilities, as well as Sunday responsibilities. They will rotate ministries to give them a peek of the variety of leadership styles and specific ministry insights. Ministries include Children, Student, Worship, Missions, and Spiritual Formation.
Each intern will receive a stipend to cover personal costs such as food, transportation, and entertainment.
