HopeNWA: Saturday, September 29, 2018
One of the reasons Grace Point exists is to activate and arm our members for ministry and mission. Many of our covenant members support and help facilitate a number of organizations & ministries throughout NWA. HopeNWA is a full day of outreach designed to rally our entire church family to serve together in our community and support hundreds of lives through various activities.
On Saturday, September 29th, we’ll be engaging the Foster/Adoptive Community through the following ways:
•DHS (Department of Human Services) is providing training to Foster parents through their annual conference, right here at GPC. Our goal, by hosting their training, is to show & share Jesus through loving childcare, genuine hospitality, and authentic encouragement for the entire day of training.
•We’ll be sending out teams of volunteers into the community to participate in projects that will bring families together around meaningful conversations
•Some volunteers will serve at non-profits that exist to provide essential needs for Foster/Adoptive families
•We’ll be putting together Blessing Backpacks and Community Care kits that will be distributed through The CALL and DHS
Giving up an entire Saturday can be challenging for busy family schedules, so be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, September 29th. Talk with your family about spending the day together serving at HopeNWA, impacting other families in our community. We are hoping to have over 300 volunteers from GPC to serve and bless the lives of people throughout NWA with the message of Hope.
