Welcome to Day 6!

It’s hard to believe we only have one day left.

Today, is a day to breathe, ladies. To take in the truth, that God is at work in our children’s lives. Even during some of the most difficult seasons with my kids, God has let me see His hand and how He is at work. I always think it is so sweet when He does. You know, we aren’t always privy to the way God is moving, so when He allows us to see it, we should always pause to thank Him. With each of my kids, I do have that “one,” thing that is my biggest fear.  You know what I’m talking about, that deep rooted fear, that is there for one reason or another for that specific child. And even with those, God is faithful to show me He is at work. And when He gives sweet nuggets of encouragement, in only the way He can, I literally wish I could hug Him.

Some days, I will not allow myself to pray over anything that is weighing heavy on my heart about my kids, and instead, I just spend the time thanking God for every little thing I possibly can think of for them. Some of those time I have to reach more than others, LOL, but it’s good to remind ourselves of all the good things that God is doing in their lives.

I encourage you ladies not to miss these or take them for granted but soak them in and let them be an encouragement that Your God is listening, and He is doing things that You can’t even see. Sometimes they are just gentle nudges that if we aren’t looking for, we might miss. This is easy during days or seasons, when things are going smoothly, but it is super powerful to do in the middle of the hard times. We want God to know we will praise Him in the storm, that we will trust Him when the chips are down, and when there is nothing telling us that He is at work outside of our faith in Him. When there is nothing but You coming to Him as His daughter saying, I can’t see it, but I know that You God are at work in this situation in my child’s life.

Amen and Amen to that ladies.

So, let’s go to our Father today and just thank Him – nothing but thankfulness and praise for things we see in our kids’ lives. We are going to thank Him that we KNOW He is at work.

EXAMPLE SCRIPTURE & PRAYERS
Good morning, Father. Your scripture says in James 1:17 that every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from You -- my Father of the heavenly lights, who DOES NOT CHANGE like shifting sand. Father today, I want to thank you for my daughter, Emery and just the way she says, “momma.” Thank you that Leyton asked me to go to the store with me, for answering my prayer to have more time with him to hear his heart and be in his life. Thank you that Charis hearted my text even though I had gotten upset. Thank you that Sam came in and gave me a hug today before he left. Thank you for being their giver, their protector, and my giver. Thank you!

Good morning, Lord. It’s a hard day, and my momma heart feels like it is going to break into. Yet even in this mess, I know you are with us, and I know like it says in James 1:17 that you are the giver of every good and perfect gift, so today, Lord, I just want to praise You even as we are in this storm. You keep showing me light in this darkness, THANK YOU! Father, thank you for letting me see today how people I don’t even know are praying for my kids. I needed that, but You knew that didn’t you. Father, I don’t have to see how You are at work to have a confident hope, but I sure do appreciate it when you bless me with a look into the ways you are moving. Thank you for encouraging my heart for giving me a nugget of extra hope today.

Father, thank You, that he didn’t get behind the wheel. Thank you that he “liked” my text so I knew he made it home. Thank you for his friend who helped. Thank you for the rain that kept them from going on. Thank you for the lady who smiled at him and made him change his mind. Thank you that I know - no matter what- he is Your son, and you are always with him. You are the giver of every good and perfect gift, and I know you see my son through the lens of your son Jesus, and You love him fiercely and NOTHING can change that.
