Hello parents!

It has been such a pleasure being here at Grace Point! I’m so thankful for our church and the honor to be a part of discipling your children here in GPKids.

As we commit to deeper discipleship, we believe that a curated event, specifically for our preteens, is the next step for them in their walk with Christ as we prepare them for GPS. With this in mind, we will be headed to Tulsa, OK for CIY’s SuperStart this Spring!

SuperStart is a high-energy, intentionally crafted weekend event for preteens to hear the gospel, learn Biblical truths, and be called to a life of Kingdom Work. This year’s theme is 3E: Everyone, Everything, Everywhere. For more info on SuperStart and it’s theme, visit https://ciy.com/superstart.

The price for this event is $99 for Early Bird pricing until January 28th. The price will then be $120 after January 28th. This price includes their event ticket, hotel room, two meals, late night snack, and a t-shirt. Sign up early to receive the early pricing!

We will leave Friday March 8th at 4:00 from Grace Point Church. We’ve got them covered for dinner that day! We’ll then head to ORU’s Mabee Center for the first session of the conference. After a time of worship, biblical teaching, and fun, we will go to our hotel and get some much-needed rest. Breakfast will be provided at our hotel before we head back for our second session. After this session, we’ll eat a meal and then burn off some energy at The Gathering Place! We will return for one final session before making the drive back home. We’ll return at 5:00 PM on Saturday March 9th.

Your child’s safety is our number one priority. Please know we are taking all necessary, plus some, precautions when it comes to leader to preteen ratio, allergy and medical needs, and above reproach safety in hotel rooms. For general FAQ, read below.

We are SO excited for this time to have our preteens intentionally poured into. Their small group leaders value their time with your child and seek for them to know the goodness of God and the plans He has for their life. For some of your kids, they will know and experience that for the first time here. They’ll be able to point back to this moment as the time they first started a relationship with the God that created them.

I hope your preteen (and possibly you!) will be able to join us March 8th-9th for SuperStart 2024! Click the button below to register.

Frequently Asked questions

What grades can attend SuperStart?
This event is just for our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. This event is curated just for them as they use age appropriate games, teaching, and Gospel Presentations. We’re excited to offer this to their specific age group, while also creating something for our younger kids to look forward to as well!

Want to attend with your preteen?

We would love for you to attend as a volunteer! If you'd like to attend as an adult volunteer for SuperStart, CLICK HERE

What does my child need to pack?
Please pack any necessary items for a single overnight trip. However, make sure to pack closed toed shoes, a jacket, any medicines, and their Bible!

Does my child need spending money?
SuperStart will have a merchandise store as well as minimal concessions for snacks at the event. Your preteens will be well fed, so these snacks aren’t a necessity.

Can my child room with their friend?
Yes! During registration, you will have the opportunity to list one other person for your preteen to room with. We will do our best to make sure this happens!

My child has food allergies and/or other medical needs.
During registration, let us know what allergies and medical needs when should be aware of. It’s our goal to have a medical professional join us on our trip to administer any medication necessary for your child! Once everything is confirmed, we’ll reach out to you to get detailed notes for your preteen.

Who will be driving?
We will be driving our two Grace Point vans to SuperStart. They will be driven by insured staff members of Grace Point Church.

Who can I call to get in contact with my preteen if they don’t answer their phone or don’t have one?
Feel free to contact your preteen via their cell phone if they have one. We will have a “lights out” Friday night to ensure they get enough rest for the next day. If your child doesn’t have a phone, our adult leaders will have one. Russell’s and Emily’s phone numbers will be given to parents who are attending. NOTE: If an emergency happens in NWA while we are away, PLEASE contact Russell or Emily first and not your preteen. That way we can facilitate any information they need to know in the correct environment.

What is the theme for SuperStart 2024?
This year’s SuperStart features a trick shot game! Everyone can participate, Everyting can be used, and you can play it Everywhere you go. In the same way that trick shots use everyday items to perform extraordinary feats, we will help preteens discover their unique gifts and talents and show that they can use them to make a big impact for the Kingdom with the gifts and talents they already possess. Through the Gospel Story, they’ll learn that because of Jesus, Everyone can be a Kingdom Worker, and they can use Everything – all their talents, big or small – for Kingdom work, Everywhere they go. Give your preteens an experience they’ll never forget at SuperStart where they’ll compete, learn, and realize their potential in God’s Kingdom through the exhilarating Everyone, Everything, Everywhere challenge. Inspire them to take their shot for God’s Kingdom!

Will there be a parent info meeting before the trip?
Yes! We will meet Sunday March 3rd at 12:30 in the Big Room to go over final trip details and our itinerary.
